What this means

Camping is prohibited in the area of the Hallwil Lake Protection Decree — this affects most of the municipal area on the lake. Outside of this, setting up tents on public land requires a permit, and on private property the consent of the owner.

§ 9 of the police regulations (model of the Lenzburg regional police) requires a permit on public land outside of established places; on private property, the consent of the owner is sufficient, and from three vehicles or fifteen people a municipal permit is added. The municipal clerk sums it up as follows: "Camping in Fahrwangen is very difficult." The regulations say nothing about spending the night without a tent.
